Board and Committees
The activities of the Scottish Extracorporeal Resuscitation Network will be the responsibility of five distinct committees, reporting to a steering committee.
Steering Committee
- Remit and Responsibilities
- Corporate responsibility for the Scottish Extracorporeal Resuscitation Network
- Strategic direction
- Liaison with other organisations and agencies.
Administrative Committee
Remit and Responsibilities
- Finances (including maintenance of accounts)
- Management of any assets that sit outside of NHS (including property, vehicles, equipment)
- Procurement
- Employment
- Fundraising
Research Committee
Remit and Responsibilities
- Set research strategy for the Scottish Extracorporeal Resuscitation Network.
- Liaison and collaboration with other research organisations.
- Manage research grants offered by Scottish Extracorporeal Resuscitation Network
Governance committee
Remit and Responsibilitie
- Establishing and maintaining a national acute circulatory failure registry
- Responsible for information governance relating to the registry and all other non-research and non-financial aspects of the organisations operation.
- In liaison with clinical committee, set and audit key performance indicators relating to clinical activities.
- Set and undertake quality improvement projects.
Education Committee
Remit and Responsibilities
- Set Educational Strategy for the Scottish Extracorporeal Resuscitation Network
- Design and delivery of public awareness campaigns
- Design and delivery of general healthcare professional awareness and training programmes.
- Design and delivery of specialist ECLS training programmes
- Website design and maintenance
- Social media output
Clinical Committee
Remit and Responsibilities
- Development of guidelines and standard operating procedures
- Set clinical strategy for the Scottish Extracorporeal Resuscitation Network.
- Responsibility for accreditation and revalidation for professionals undertaking clinical work under the auspices of the Scottish Extracorporeal Resuscitation Network.
